Morewood bikes hail from South Africa and are designed by ex racer Patrick Morewood. With several models ranging from full downhill rigs to an all mission day trail frame Morewood frames all share one common feature, they are brilliant at descending (making the companies tag line of "the bikes that downhill built" very appropriate). The single pivot simplicity of the design coupled with oversized bearings mean all the suspension models are extremely stiff, just what you need when hammering down a trail. With a nod to UK conditions there is plenty of mud clearance on all models and the elevated swing arms mean the frames are nice and quiet to ride (no boom box noises like orange's).
